Our Start:
Amelia Kaywood and Alicia Hoffer have been in the floral industry since 2014. Lineage Florals exists to celebrate the significance of family lines coming together in marriage through florals. Amelia and Alicia both have educational and professional backgrounds in interiors design. We translate these skills to your weddings and events by seeking to create an environment, rather than an occasion.
Amelia and Alicia met when we were six in a kindergarten group. The majority of our growing up years were spent in the ballet studio learning skills and art principles that influenced nearly every aspect of our lives. Both Amelia and Alicia attended the University of Georgia and studied Interior Design in the Lamar Dodd School of Art. We both had careers as workplace interior designers in Atlanta, Georgia. And, yes, we know how insanely similar our lives have been. In 2014, when Amelia’s mom, Cheryl, volunteered her to design florals for a family friends wedding, Alicia was the first person Amelia called. The two walked into Amelia’s mom’s basement to this ocean of flowers... and that’s where it all began.
Our Lineage
Amelia‘s mother, Cheryl, loves to garden and Amelia spent many summer Saturdays as a child working with her mom outside. Additionally Amelia‘s grandmother had her own floral business.
Alicia‘s mother Wendy also loves to garden. Wendy’s green thumb did not pass down to Alicia but her love of beauty and growth did. Alicia’s grandmother Cornelia grows state award winning camellias.
About Amelia:
Amelia lives in Brookhaven, Georgia. Amelia’s floral specialties are centerpieces and knowing when blooms are in season. She enjoys long walks early Saturday mornings and chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Antique shopping and binge watching Psych are two of Amelia’s favorite past times.
About Alicia:
Alicia lives near west midtown in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, DJ, and their dog, Bowser. Alicias floral specialties are the personal arrangements and keeping up with budgets via spreadsheets. Alicia enjoys cooking slightly complicated food and hosting friends at her home. For fun, she can be found making jewelry and refinishing furniture.
